Nashville, Sept 27, 1878
I drop you a line mainly to say that we are all as well as usual.
Mrs. Jones and baby seem to be doing very well. Baby sleeps with
his mammy all night and is getting plenty to live on. No news except
yellow fever. We have had no native cases here yet, but several
imported cases recently. One death today on Broad Street between
our house and Vanderbilt. It is bad in Chattanooga and seems to
be getting worse. Old Mrs. Wilkinson died a few days ago and Mrs.
B. F. Ragsdale yesterday. B. F. Ragsdale is very low. None of our
employees there have taken it yet. Please write and let us know
how you all are. Excuse this short scribble as I am so very busy
have not time to write more. Love to Mary and Allie May.
Very truly
Y. B. Jones"
