Somerville Station - Milepost 186.4

On October 14, 1942, there was a head-end collision between two freight trains located 2.87 miles in west of Somerville (approx. milepost 189.3), which resulted in the death of one brakeman and the injury of one conductor, three engineers and two firemen.
